Multi-system inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C) has emerged as a new concern among children after black fungus for doctors treating patients who have recovered from corona. Many organs are affected in this syndrome and have been commonly seen several weeks after being infected. Children recovering from the epidemic may be at risk of getting infected with it.
Doctor said, "I can't say whether this (MIS-C) is dangerous or life threatening, but certainly sometimes this infection affects children badly, it can badly affect the heart, liver and kidneys of children. The infection occurs four to six weeks after it has a corona.
They said the response to the antigen sworn in the body to counter MIS-C Covid-19 is the result. He said, "We are not worried about corona infections because in most cases they are minor or mild symptoms, but when free from infection, antibodies are produced in the body of children, which antiboti responds to in children's bodies. It is allergic to their body. MIS-C affects organs such as the heart, liver and kidneys of children after they are free from corona infection and not during Covid-19.
Five cases found in Fortis Health Care:
Mis-C has been documented after covid-19 peaked in the countries. Gupta said there were three such cases in Fortis Healthcare last year and two cases have come after the second wave. He expressed apprehension that more MIS-C cases may come after the epidemic reaches its peak.
Intensive investigation needed:
According to Dr. Giridhar R. Babu, epidemiologist at the Public Health Foundation of India and a member of the State Covid-19 Technical Advisory Committee, it is not correct to assess the hospital cases at the population level. But Babu said the importance of mis-C studies cannot be underestimated. Even if there are fewer cases, a thorough inquiry is needed. There should be a clear understanding of it before the next wave.
